I completed this painting of a family portrait earlier in the year, but then had it framed. It will be  presented on the baby’s first birthday.

The painting was done from a photograph my son took as they held my first granddaughter. It was such a joy to work on this, I didn’t want to stop. But, a painter has to know to do just that when the time comes.

I love how the composition seems to form a heart shape. Lots of love there!
