I finished this painting of Hay Bales in the August Sun in the winter. Working on it in my studio, I could feel the heat and warm sun. I started the painting en plein air in my friend’s back yard. Another friend was painting with me. It was her first time painting en plein air. We enjoyed a few warm hours under the shade of a tree.
I took this short timelapse video just after I began painting last August.
