Just finished this small portrait of a Luna Moth.
It’s always very exciting to see a Luna Moth, since it doesn’t happen often. This one was quite a good size, and rested on the tree trunk for a long time so I could take its picture.
In Canada, the Luna Moth only has one generation per year and the winged adults appear in late May or early June.
See this Wikipedia article for more information.
It was a few years ago that I took this photo, so I hope I’ll see one again this year.
