As many of you know, I have participated in DRAW (Dumoine River Art for Wilderness), supported by CPAWS-OV (Canadian Parks and Wilderness - Ottawa Valley) for a few years, spending time in the Dumoine area and finding inspiration for my art. I am pleased to invite you to an exhibition of work by a selection of DRAW artists at LaFab sur Mill, a wonderful gallery and community space in Chelsea. The exhibition runs from the end of August till the end of October (the gallery is open Friday thru Sunday afternoons)Of particular interest to anyone who cares about awareness and preservation of the wilderness in the Dumoine and Ottawa River valleys is the “Celebration of the Dumoine” on the weekend of Sept 13/14. Saturday evening (7:30 - 10:00) La Fab will host a talk by John McDonnell of CPAWS, a wonderful film about the Dumoine and ‘Songs and Stories’ by Marc Audet.On Sunday afternoon (the 14th) from 1:00 till 5:00 is the Vernissage of the art exhibition as well as talks by a selection of experts with information to share about the Dumoine.
